Do you think the universe cares about your plans

When it took 4 billion years to evolve humans?

One day we're here, the next we're gone

So enjoy it while you can, because the world goes on.

One day Adam said to Eve:

"If you don't learn to pick guitar, then I'm gonna leave."

So, the Devil said, "Honey, give a bit of soul,

and then you can show your baby how to rock 'n roll."

Well, when Eve got to playin', all the feet they tapped, 

the hips they shook, and the hands they clapped.

One day, she said to Adam, "That's enough--

You've got two left feet and I want to strut my stuff."

Well, Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers

And Jesus cured hoards of lepers

Houdini did death-defying feats

And Eve left Eden for to make her beats.

Well, one day creation came to be

And there were beasts to serve and there was light to see

But, since Eve gave her soul so music was made

I say, sister, why would you want your soul to be saved?
